Leah Lentz, Co-Editor-In-Chief
Leah Lentz is the co-editor in chief for the Express. This is her third semester working on the Express and her second in an editor role. Leah is interested in covering news impacting the community and sharing people’s stories through features and profiles.
Leah has been drawn to journalism since she was young. Some of her fondest memories from her childhood are opening the Sacramento Bee every morning to check out the sports page. After the 2016 presidential election, she grew interested in journalism’s impact on politics. She hopes to bring her passion for finding the truth to her pursuit of a career in journalism. She is currently an intern at Capitol Weekly, reporting on California politics and government.
In her free time, Leah spends as much time outside as possible with her husband and her terrier, Walter White. Her favorite hiking place is Angora Lakes in South Lake Tahoe, where the views are stunning. She plans to transfer to Sacramento State to pursue her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
