The City College Panthers beat the Shasta College Knights Sept. 19, marking the team’s first win of the season after losing their first two games.
The Panthers scored two touchdowns in the first half of the first quarter, and though the score became close at times, the Panthers took the win with 56-37 with a 26-point showing in the fourth quarter.

“This is a very young football team and they are learning daily from their mistakes in practice and game situations and there’s nothing more then just an upside for the team from here on out,” Walker said.
Joe Pereira, who scored two touchdowns in the second half of the game, felt a sense of pride after the team’s considerable victory. He hopes to go undefeated for the rest of the season.

The Panthers will be playing Delta College in Stockton on Sept. 26 at 1 pm.
