Meet your Express Editors: Phoenix Kanada, Photo Editor
Phoenix Kanada, 22, is the incoming photo editor for the Sac City Express, (yes that is his real name and no, it’s not an alter-ego). He has a passion for photojournalism and tattoos.
A Yuba City native, he got a hold of his first camera at the age of 16. Kanada has an affection for taking black and white photos, but he doesn’t like modern photography too much.
His style is something like Johnny Cash meets Freddie Mercury. He’s a canvas for tattoos-a trademark of his own unique style.
He would love to travel the world and document places that are not familiar to the average person; he wants to cover stories but also see the world in a different perspective, through the lens of his camera.
