Jenna Cody is a staff writer for the Express. This is her first semester writing for the express. 

She is interested in writing about sports, politics and community events. Jenna has always loved writing, so in high school she decided to join her school’s yearbook. Throughout her time in yearbook, she found that not only did she love writing, but she also loved interviewing people and hearing what they had to say about what was going on around them. Jenna believes that journalists have an important job reporting on issues and giving voices to those who are not always heard. 

In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with friends, family and most importantly her cat, Oreo. She also enjoys crocheting and is working on selling items on her Etsy shop. Jenna hopes to transfer to Cal Poly Humboldt in the future to pursue a bachelor’s in journalism.
