Feeling a little iffy about your warm-weather looks? Can’t find a pair of shorts that fit just right? There’s a campus event coming up that might be just for you!
The Intersectional Feminist Club is hosting an inclusive clothing swap on April 30 in the Student Center from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. In addition to being hosted by the IFC, the clothing swap has also been facilitated by the Queer-Straight Alliance, and the theatre department has provided clothing racks.
“We want to enforce an inclusive atmosphere for students on campus,” said Racquel Mitchell, IFC president. “We want to connect to others socially and also be able to provide people with different types of clothes if they need it.”
People of all backgrounds are welcome, and the event specifically will not have gendered sections of clothing—just different styles and types. Formal, casual, warm, cool, there will be an assortment.
“I know winter is basically over, but it’s always nice to have some jackets handy,” Mitchell said. “We kinda just want to reinforce the idea of positivity and inclusivity on this campus, cause we definitely need more of that.”
Stop by the Student Center, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and bring some clothes to swap if you can!
