Don’t miss the City College’s Art Court Theatre season opener “After Juliet.” Discover the rest of the story through Oct. 13 in the sequel to one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, “Romeo and Juliet.”
After the death of the star-crossed lovers ,the Montagues and Capulet feuding families have been ordered to keep the peace, which is now threatened as Rosaline plots to avenge her beloved Romeo’s death.
The play was written by Scottish playwright Sherman Macdonald and is directed by Lori Ann DeLappe-Grondin and features Julianna Camille Hess as Rosaline; Anthony Person as Benvolio; Cynthia Hawes as Angelica the nurse; Vernon Lewis as Petruchio; Tylen Einweck as Gianni; and Maggie Trevor as Lorenzo.
This story is set in steampunk style, a world without electricity, and performed in modern English. The play runs through Oct. 13. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m and Sundays at 2 p.m.
One additional matinee Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.
