City College will host the 19th Annual Outstanding Women Student Awards April 15 in the Cultural Awareness Center.
The event will honor female City College students who have shown excellence in one or more of the following categories, according to a flier: outstanding academic achievement, community service, overcoming obstacles, women in non-traditional fields, and balancing grades with athletics.
30 City College students will be receiving awards. There will also be refreshments available for those who attend.

This year marks the 19th time the event has taken place. Over 750 awards have been given since 1998, according to Cultural Awareness Center coordinator Victoria Henderson.
The awards ceremony will be held from 12:10-1 p.m. Seating begins at 11:40 a.m.
