City College’s Community Open House and Fair for its centennial anniversary will host a free event Oct. 15 from 1-5 p.m.
According to Rick Brewer, communication and public information officer, the celebration will include many activities, such as 100 different cars from 1916 to the present.
“We’ll have cars from every year the college has been a campus,” Brewer said.
Other events at the Open House and Fair event will be:
Opening a time capsule
Chemistry Department demos of explosions
K-9 demonstration
Concerts and dance performances
Poetry readings by English Department faculty
Sports clinics for kids in soccer and baseball, conducted by City College athletes and coaches
Health fair for kids and adults
A student/parent resources’ hub to explain financial aid, veteran support and other resources
Student club booths
Career Day booths
Career Day events
Sac City Talks
Centennial football game at 6 p.m.
