City College’s student leadership team will hold Club Day Sept. 27 in the Quad to introduce students to clubs on campus.
Club Day is a chance to be introduced to the concepts and information that the 31 different clubs at City College have to offer. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“The No. 1 reason Club Day is so important is that it helps students create an identity for themselves on campus,” says Student Leadership and Development’s Chris Torres.
Music and performances such as the City College spirit squad, the dance and cheer club, and M.E.Ch.A will be presented from noon-1 p.m., during what is referred to as the college hour. Some club booths, such as the Japanese Culture Club will also be having fundraisers and rummage sales.
“A couple of clubs that are constantly active are Trinidad, Puente Club, and Hope Club, although these are great clubs there are many others that I believe could help make students experience more fruitful, meaning students staying connected and active during their time here,” says Torres.
