Ever look in the sky and wonder what the constellations are and what they mean?

City College astronomy professor Liam McDaid is giving you that chance. He is holding an open observatory this Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at 8:30 p.m. The M8 (lagoon nebula/open cluster), the M17 (swan/omega/horseshoe nebula) and the M13 (Hercules globular cluster) will be featured at the event.

Every month there will be different constellations featured so no experience will be the same.
