The deadline to submit your graduation and certificate application for fall is Oct. 1.
Twelve units of college work completed are required at City College, at least a C (2.0) average or better and completed program for a degree or certificate.
There are two separate applications—one to graduate and another to participate in the commencement. The commencement, also known as graduation, ceremony is held once a year at the end of the spring semester for summer, fall and spring graduate candidates. The next ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m., May 21, 2014.
If course requirements have been met by other means, submit a Course Substitution Petition for the graduation requirement for equal courses or a Course Substitution for General Education Petition for equivalent course for the general education requirement. Proper documentation is required with both petitions, which can be found in the Counseling and Admissions Offices.
