May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and, according to a recent Cityscape newsletter, City College’s Asian and Pacific Islander Support Program is celebrating with a film festival on Zoom. The festival features four films May 4-5 with discussions of the films following afterward.
To continue the celebration of “SCC API Week,” there will be three workshops. Two of the Zoom events focus on the importance of community resources and building resumes. The week ends with an API support session Friday May 7. The workshops are hosted by City College alumnus Jamina Afuola, Student Support Personnel Yolanda Ramirez and Jamil Malik, counselor and member of the Los Rios District API Legacy group.
There is one link for all of this week’s events. More information and events can be found here.
