Rose Vega is the spring 2020 editor-in-chief for the Express, and has been working with the Express for about four years now. Vega has also written short blurbs as an intern at Sacramento Magazine, even contributing to an offshoot of the magazine, focused on parenting & infant care. Currently when she’s not busy working on the Express, she is a waitress and also works as a social media manager.
Vega was the features editor for the Express’ last print publication spring 2019, and has been published twice in Mainline Magazine—previously City College’s long-form journalism publication— in 2018.
“Getting experience with the print paper was great, but the transition to fully online has been equally as rewarding,” Vega said. “I look forward to continuing to grow the Express.”
This will be Vega’s last semester with the Express, as she will be transferring to Sac State for the fall 2020 semester to get a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
