The community of City College suffered a loss two weeks ago when a fellow student was gunned down on campus. While the Express continues to cover the aftermath of the shooting, we would like to take a moment to pay tribute to one of our staff members.
Emily Foley was a City College student for two years and the photo editor of the Express newspaper for three semesters. On Tuesday, July 14, she died in an accident in Seattle while visiting her family. Her advisers and colleagues knew her as a versatile photographer, skilled in photojournalism as well as scenic and art photography.
She served as a photo assistant in a variety of classes and as a model for other student photographers’ work. A show of her work will be featured in the new photo/journalism gallery in the Student Services building in November.
