Shooting on a cloudy day, ISO 800, center weight metering, 1/1250, f 5.6. I bumped up the greens and the yellows ever so slightly in photoshop. This warmed up the photo and kept it from looking too washed out.
I made changes to the photo below to see if I could get the ripples and the shallow surface of the river bed to be more visible. I added blues, greens and a little bit more of the yellows in photoshop. I also cropped a bit. I like the white of the bird in the above photo so masking her first, use invert and then alter the colors of the water is an option we could try.
