Taking on the responsibilities of managing editor at a news organization requires dedication, flexibility and creativity. As managing editor of the Express for the spring 2019 semester, Danielle McKinney will handle news, social media and help budding journalists.
An avid writer since the seventh grade, Danielle has done just about everything from short stories to poetry. She hopes to bring her experience and unique perspective to the Express, and looks to start podcasting to add another dimension to how the Express delivers content. She is dedicated to keeping the public aware and informed of the important issues.
“I’m really passionate about social justice, truth and equity,” said McKinney. “I hope that I can spark conversations and bring awareness to certain topics through my writing. That’s one of my main goals.”
