Meet your editors: Vince Ybarra, Co-editor-in-chief
The world of media and entertainment can soon expect an entrance from one of City College’s up-and-coming journalists, Vince Ybarra. The Sac City Express Co-editor in chief began his college education as a business major with a focus on music marketing. After earning his associate degree in business from University of Phoenix while also juggling a job, Ybarra decided it was time for a change.
“I have that creative niche,” Ybarra said. “I thought, ‘Why don’t I get into entertainment journalism? Why can’t I?’”. Ybarra, 29, restarted at City College two years ago with a desire to reach his journalism career goal. “I came here for a reason. I have a dream to study journalism and get into the entertainment business. It’s been a long journey but I wouldn’t change any of it”.
