City College is holding a college application assistance workshop starting Oct. 11 in the Transfer Center.
This workshop will help students fill out CSU applications.
“Students are encouraged to bring their laptops because the computers are first-come, first-serve,” said Shannon Gilley, City College Transfer Center director.
City College’s Transfer Center holds 10 workshops a month. October will only have two workshops because of a busy schedule, according to Gilley.

The Transfer Center will also host a college application workshop Oct. 12, separate from the college application assistance workshop., in which a college representative from four-year colleges will walk students through the process.
According to Gilley, City College students will also have the opportunity to see a presentation from the rep on how to apply for their respective colleges from four-year colleges.Gilley said the application assistance workshops are more attended than the application workshops hosted by college representatives.
The application assistance workshop will be held Oct. 11 from 10 a.m.-noon and application workshop on Oct. 12 from noon-2 p.m. in RHN 147.
