The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce is putting out a call to all local young entrepreneurs looking to build their customer network or fresh college graduates hoping to make new business contacts to help bring a Guinness World Record to Sacramento.
For its fourth annual Networking Nexus event, SACC is striving for 1,200 people to speed network at the Sacramento Jet Center on Thursday, Oct. 29, to break the world record for “Speed Networking – Single Venue.”
The current speed networking record-holder is Belgium, which achieved the title in 2014 for having 1,068 participants, according to the Guinness World Records website.
“The Sacramento Region’s current economic growth opportunities is what makes this record-breaking event possible,” said SACC President and CEO, Pat Fong Kushida. “With being able to refine your sales pitch, promote your brand and expand your network with over a thousand members of your community so efficiently, I expect a fantastic turnout.”
As the largest ethnic chamber of commerce in the region, SACC’s mission is to promote local small businesses growth since its inception in 1993, according to its website.
