City College’s Fischbacher Fine Arts building houses the Kondos Gallery, perhaps one of the best-kept secrets on campus.
“I’m always asking people if they’ve been to see something in the gallery, and they go, ‘We don’t have a gallery!'” said Jennifer Griffin, an instructional assistant in the art department..
According to Griffin, the gallery, which is located between the Lusk Center, which houses the classrooms and student store, and City College’s Performing Arts Center, will host five art shows this semester. Each show begins with a reception, usually with the featured artists in attendance, to open the installment.
Griffin hopes that attendance will increase and interest will spread around campus.
Each of this semester’s installments will be on display in the Kondos Gallery for about a month.
