With the recent rise in public shootings, the Obama administration is under pressure to find a solution to yet another problem in our country. Is the problem with guns, though? Or is it the people? We asked people how the Obama administration should handle the issue.

“By limiting easy access to assault weapons. No matter what you can’t completely secure guns though.”

“They should really take into account all the positions. Consider everyone’s views on guns.”

“We should have freedom to buy guns, but have [a] better registration [system] and some kind of test.”

“I feel like other countries that have outlawed guns have done well. But if we keep them from civilians, they should be kept from law enforcement as well. Some countries’ police don’t carry guns. They’re suppose to be our friends not intimidate us.”

“They should regulate but not control who can buy a gun, with more or better steps to buy a weapon.”

“I believe the elected officials are puppets and pushing another agenda that Obama doesn’t know about, maybe he does though.”

“I don’t know, I’m not big on gun control. I think they should work more on the people in these situation.”

“They should increase regulations and better educate law enforcement. Crime will always exist no matter what.”

“To me it wouldn’t matter. You’ll always be able to get a gun, but it’d be nice to eliminate some of them.”

“Leave it alone. I’m very pro gun, I think everyone should have a gun because people are shady now. There are more things that can kill a person than a gun.”
