Baseball
After a 25-19 finish, the baseball team will look to improve its fourth place finish in the Big 8 Conference. The Panthers finished with an 11-10 record against teams in its own conference and didn’t win in the postseason.Last season, the team had 27 players finish with a 3.0 GPA or higher, with three playersfinishing with a 4.0 GPA.
The team started its season on the road Feb. 4 against Fresno City College in a three-game series. The first home game will be against Chabot College in a three-game series beginning Feb. 11.
Softball
The softball team looks to continue its amazing success after earning the conference title for a sixth-straight season and advancing to the California State Championships.The softball team has been dominant in the conference for the last two decades. The team has held the conference title from 1990-2002 and 2004-2009. It also won the state title in 1992, 1996 and 2004.“We expect the same thing we normally see,” head coach Robert Maglione said. “We expect to contend for the conferencetitle and to play in the state championships at the end of the year.”The softball team kicked-off the season Feb. 5 at home against Foothill Collegewith a three game home stand on Feb. 5 and Feb 6.

The swimming team is looking to build upon its success last season.The team set 15 new records and had 10 swimmers selected as of those records were set during the last day of the state championships.The Panthers had an intra-squad meet on Feb. 6 to prepare for the season.
Tennis
The men’s and women’s tennis teams are looking to improve from last season.With only three returning players from last season,assistant coach Eva Rico thinks that both teams are ready to play“You’re never going to know what you’re going to get,” Rico said about the team’s upcoming schedule. “We’re looking all right this year. We should be good to go.”
The men’s team will start the season at home against on Feb. 9, while the women’s team will play at home against American River College the same day.
