City College Student Leadership and Development will hold a Constitution Day event on Sept. 17, in the quad from noon to 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the importance of the U.S. Constitution.
At the event, the president of the Student Associated Council, Taylor Valmores, will speak on why we celebrate Constitution Day nationwide and how it came to be. Valmores will also stress the importance of the upcoming elections. The SAC will be helping students register to vote, as well as answering questions about the presidential candidates and the various bills that will be on the ballot in November.
“As educational as this event will be, it will be just as fun,” said Chris Torres, student affairs specialist for Student Leadership and Development.
