Amelia Biscardi, the Express social media editor for the fall 2020 semester, discovered the Express in her 2nd semester at City College and has been working for the online news site for three semesters.
“I want students to be aware of what’s going on, especially now in COVID. It’s hard figuring out what’s going on at college and what resources there are, and if we at the Express can help, that’s great,” said Biscardi. “I enjoy working on things that matter.”
Her interest in journalism sparked in high school where the class was offered as an electiveM and her love for writing drew her to join the class.
“I remember every day I went to that class I was so fascinated with the subject, and I loved learning about press law,” said Biscardi.“I love storytelling, I love interviewing people, I love learning and telling people’s stories through the medium of journalism.”
