The Cultural Awareness Center will host a free performance of “Ugly” during Black History Month for two shows Feb. 25 and Feb. 26 in the Performing Arts Center.

“Ugly” stars Gigi Bolden as Debra Fuller, a popular African-American author who risks her savings to try to self-publish her new novel. Meanwhile, her private life is full of complications. The play was written by Kenneth B. Davis of Los Angeles and is directed by Kimberly Bailey.
