‘This Day in June’ recognized by the American Library Association
City College psychology professor Gayle Pitman recently won the Stonewall Book Award from the American Library Association for her children’s book “This Day in June,” published in 2014.
The award is given every year for children and young adult books of exceptional merit relating to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender experience, according to a press release from the American Library Association.
