City College men’s and women’s tennis teams faced the Fresno City College Rams in a conference home game on March 1. The Panthers lost 9-0 on both the men’s and women’s team.

On one end of the court, the men played doubles, facing off with one another. On another court, the women competed in a mixed doubles heated battle.

City College tennis player Tri Nguyen played an aggressive offensive, sweeping the court with speed and accuracy. The intensity flew back and forth between both teams as the whistling sounds of neon green bullets flew through the air.

As the match progressed, the wind chills became a factor testing City College’s tennis team. However, it did not temper the Panthers’ dedication to fight back, though they eventually fell to the horns of the Rams.

For their next match, the Panthers will travel out of town to Reedley College for a conference game March 4.
