RJ Hour hosting mixer in Midtown discussing ‘sex, consent and the college campus’

RJ Hour is a reproductive justice hour that women and men can attend to talk about a wide range of reproductive topics, from healthcare to economics.

“Reproductive justice is the complete physical, mental, spiritual, political, social, and economic well being of women and girls, based on the full achievement and protection of women’s human rights,” according to the RJ Hour website.

The first RJ Hour at Mango’s bar downtown will be held Nov. 11. The hour will be hosted by Joey Garcia, Sacramento News & Review columnist and relationship expert. During the RJ Hour, the speaker will talk for 30 minutes. Then a discussion will be held among those who attend. During that time attendees are more than welcome to enjoy Mango’s bar if they are 21 and older. Those who are younger than 21, however, may attend the event to talk and network.

The RJ Hour will be held every second Wednesday of the month from 6­7 p.m. at Mango’s on 20th and K streets.
