The service was very good, and the staff professional, but as I began to eat my sandwich, I quickly learned from the people around me that I should have ordered a salad or burger because that is where Meet & Eat shines.

The sandwich was not bad, but it lacked any of the flare one would expect from a $14 meal.

The house cut fries were perfect, but the chicken was flavorless and the avocado was not ripe enough, rendering it bland. Bacon and toasted Brioche bread stood alone as the best part of the sandwich and made me wonder why they didn’t ditch the club and replace it with a B.L.T.

Like all restaurants in their formative days, Meet & Eat will make some changes, and I plan to return after they have had some time to take a breath and adjust, if for nothing else than to sample the housemade pork belly sandwich that I should have ordered.
