Beginning its title defense and season with its first tournament on Sept. 4 at Bartley Cavanough Golf Course in South Sacramento, City College’s women’s golf team felt the familiar feeling of victory once again.

The team’s hard work showed during the match, winning the first conference tournament with a final score of 308, beating second place Modesto Junior College by 27 strokes.

“They worked very hard on their skills and were very prepared for the tournament,” said Coach Tim Kiernan.
