In walks a sun-kissed statuette of a man who looks like he just walked out of “The Matrix”, dressed in all black, with glasses and a long coat.

The walking statuette is Amresh Gosai, who has just finished filming one of his many independent films. When Gosai says this is his life, he’s not joking.

“This is what I live for, and I do it very passionately,” says Gosai, a City College student.
Gosai is tall and dark-haired, with golden-colored skin that radiates his Indian culture. Striking hazel eyes and piercing white smile create his many different personas, whether he’s dressed in rags or Armani suits.

“He always delivers exactly what I need, if not more,” director and business partner Brian Caylor says. “As a director, he really allows me to focus on the creative side of things.”
Gosai has played roles as diverse as a mean, ugly demon to a nice handsome guy. The many steps he has taken so far has only set base for the places he is going.

“I realized I wanted to do this. I am willing to go as far as I need to make things happen,” Gosai says.

Taking a journey to Los Angeles, he says, really opened his eyes on what life is like but he also found that you can’t win them all.

“I was an extra in over 40 different projects where I got paid in food,” he says.

“I am willing to go as far as I need to make things happen.”

At 20, Gosai has more on his plate then many 20-something year olds.

The Fijian born actor began his career young and has accomplished a lot.

“I strive to be better each and every day, and with each new project,” he says.

Actress Ying Myo says Gosai’s dedication is one that is “admired and passionate.” She enthusiastically speaks of Gosai and his talent.

“I know he is determined to see the end [results],” Myo says.

Before his shoots, Gosai says he gets acquainted with the other actors and calms their nerves.

“Being comfortable is key,” he says. “I love the people I meet. Hell, I get to choose who I want to work with. In my short 20 years, I have helped, touched and done all I can to make life for others just a little bit easier. I have made the best out of life.”
