Lila Zimmerman, Photo Editor/ Writer
Lila Zimmerman is a staff writer and photo editor for the Express. She also is the social media editor for the Express. This is her first semester with the Express. Lila has a passion for writing about politics, local news and regional events.
Lila first discovered her love for journalism during the pandemic, when she began reading The New York Times with her mother every Sunday morning. Since then, she has been taking journalism classes and honing her writing skills. Along the way, Lila discovered an enthusiasm for photography — mainly street, landscape and concerts. In addition to journalism, Lila is devoted to novels, hoping to write one of her own one day.
After high school, Lila plans to attend a four-year university to pursue journalism and a higher education.
