City College’s new transfer center opens on Feb. 16, 2023. The grand opening of the center allows students to get insight on how they can get information about transferring to any California state universities, University of California, Historically black college or university, private or out-of-state college.
“So we for a very, very long time didn’t have a space such as a center for our students to come in and to discuss transferring,” said Student Support Specialist Paula Gonzalez, adding, “This is an area finally to have a space and, “hopefully”, a lab for computers for students to complete applications or meet with a college representative.”
Staff members also explained that the center will be open in the summer with a scheduled appointment or as a walk-in.
