Alexis Hensley is a staff writer for the Express. This is her first semester writing for the Express.
She is interested in writing articles about new dishes at fun restaurants or concerts at local venues. Alexis is determined to become a journalist from her love of writing. When she’s not writing a short story or coming up with ideas for her next poem, she’s reading novels that inspire her. When she was in elementary school, one of her teachers told her to be confident in her writing, which started her on a path towards writing her heart out.
One of Alexis’ hobbies is also cooking; she spends a lot of time in the kitchen, perfecting recipes and feeding the people she loves. She plans to transfer to Sacramento State to pursue her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
