Despite a virtual spring 2021 semester, deadlines for transfer students remain the same as in previous years.
Students who plan to transfer in fall 2021 need to decide which colleges they will attend within the next few months, according to Abraham Madrigal, transfer counselor and coordinator.
“In the student portal, students will indicate their intent to enroll by May 1 for a CSU and intent to register June 1 for UC,” Madrigal said.
Paula Gonzalez, a student support specialist at City College, said students should be monitoring their email accounts and student portals at the four-year colleges and universities to which they applied.
“The timeframe for admissions decisions happen between April and May,” Gonzalez said. “Students have different timelines to accept or deny.”
Additionally, Gonzalez said students should check their accounts for instructions to submit their official transcripts.
“Each university will handle transcripts differently,” she said. “For Sac State, they will automatically pull electronic transcripts for all Los Rios colleges. However, students should still check with other colleges outside of Los Rios.”
