Campus Sustainability Coordinator Sophie Wheeler (left) paints some repurposed paper tubes to create a heart-shaped wall hanging while Sustainability Club President Eden Lange (right) selects some dried flower petals to mix into her homemade sugar scrub at a DIY sustainable gift workshop on Monday, Feb.13, 2023 at City College’s Makerspace. The workshop was hosted by the Sustainability & Environmental club in conjunction with Regenerate @ SCC so students could create sustainable gifts for themselves or loved ones for the holiday. Materials and instructions were provided to create handmade bath bombs, sugar scrubs, and upcycled “flower” bouquets.
