Twelve days after City College President Michael Gutierrez suffered serious injuries in a car collision, Vice President of Administration Carrie Bray sustained serious injuries in a scooter accident over the weekend.
In an email released Aug. 25, City College Communications and Public Information Officer Kaitlyn MacGregor wrote, “Carrie is currently being treated at the hospital for her injuries and is in stable condition.”
Bray started her career at Los Rios in 1991 and previously served as director of accounting services for 18 years, according to the City College website.
Acting City College President Albert Garcia sent out an email to the campus community Aug. 27 stating that, “Both Michael and Carrie have recovery time ahead of them and, while we continue to rally around them, I know it helps put their minds at ease to have such a terrific group of staff and faculty keeping our campus running smoothly.”
MacGregor said that cards are available in the president’s office (RHN 277) for those who want to give well wishes to Bray and her family.
