City College’s men’s basketball team expectations fall short

The emotions of the City College’s Men’s basketball team’s grew high and low as they faced and lost against the Cosumnes River Hawks in the Men’s Basketball Conference on Feb.8 with a final score of 80-72.

The Panthers had a seven-point lead 10 minutes into the game and at the end of the first half, the Panthers lead with a score of 31-28. However their advantages slipped down to three points and the Hawks continued to soar ahead.

There was a lot of contact fouls between both teams. By the end of the night there were numerous fouls made.

The match-up inside the City College North Gym was riddled with turnovers and heated up in the second half. Two minutes in, the Hawks called a time-out. Another two minutes later, the game bounced away from the Panthers as they fell down by four additional points.
