City College’s Japanese Culture Club held its annual White Day or Japanese Valentine’s Day Monday, March 14 .
The event originally was a fundraiser to support the club and its activities, however because of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan the JCC have chosen to give all donations received to the Japanese Red Cross.
In light of the recent events in Japan the karaoke contest scheduled for April 16 will be turned into a benefit night. The JCC will charge $5 admission fee with free admission for kids under the age of 10. The event is being held at John F. Kennedy High School from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross..
