Taylor Valmores won as president of the Clubs and Events Board and Kevin Kayhanian won as president of the Student Senate Oct. 18-19 in the Student Associated Council election.

According to faculty coordinator of Student Leadership and Development Kimberlee Beyrer, a total of 446 students voted in the election. The newly elected officers will begin their work under the new Student Associated Council effective Nov. 1, 2011.

There are now three branches of the Associated Student Council, said Beyrer. They are the Clubs and Events board, Student Senate, and the senators.  Fourteen positions have been filled.
