Jacqueline Aleman Flores is a staff writer for the Express. This is her first semester writing for the Express. Her primary interest is writing about sports, specifically soccer. 

Her interest in sports journalism grew after experiencing a severe ACL knee injury while playing soccer. While the injury ended her athletic career, it was clear she had a desire to work within the sports industry. As much as she enjoyed watching sports on television, she also enjoyed analyzing soccer matches with her dad. Jacqueline hopes to one day work in the sports media industry.

In her free time, Jacqueline enjoys watching soccer matches- particularly La Liga, the Spanish professional soccer league, along with spending time with her family, attending concerts, and listening to Latin urban music. She plans to transfer to Sacramento State to pursue her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
