City College held a small recital on campus March 31 where a local music major and professor played classical music performed with a guest professor from Sacramento State.
Held in the Performing Arts Center, the recital featured City College student Christine Zdunkiewicz on the cello, City College music professor Robert Knable on clarinet, and Sacramento State professor John Cozza on piano.
The three performed several classical pieces by famous composers like Beethoven, Fritz Kreisler, Jules Massenet, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms.

In her last semester at City College, Zdunkiewicz was asked to play by Knable and helped coordinated the performance.
“Well, Professor Knable had asked me last year to play, but I was very very busy, so then I said ‘Well, I’ll play this year,’” said Zdunkiewicz, “and he kind of wanted to play a couple trios with us. So then I called John Cozza from Sac State, who I play with quite a bit, and then we got together and did the trios together.”
