Commentary: Biological love

The feeling that creates a bond between people is love. Love, which allows doors to be opened or deep feelings to be spoken, is a feeling which can make a person feel like they want to be with their partner forever. Some may say love is a matter of fate and love with a certain individual is supposedly meant to be. Scientists say love is simply a chemical reaction in the brain, which allows them to believe that love is more than a chemical reaction in our mind and bodies.

How can we take love seriously when society over the years has downgraded romance in exchange for a quick fling? It seems that Hollywood’s version of love, which is to meet a man or woman and fall in love with them in a couple of days, is the way to go now these days. Scientists may seem like they have the best idea about love, but I still feel that love is more than chemicals reactions stirring up inside a body.

According to the article “The Rules of Attraction in the Game of Love” by Bjorn Carey at www.lovescience.com, there are many physical things like body image, looks, and smell that explains why people are attracted to each other.

Our physical features create physical attractions, but also may create how we determine our long-term relationships. According to J. Phillip Rushton, a psychologist at the University of Ontario, our genes play a significant role in finding a long-term partner.

In some buy levitra professional men, it may also make it worse. The prescription for cialis purchase “first time” often leads to the exclusivity of a couple. Kamagra jelly on-line viagra 100mg no prescription needs to be purchased carefully and only after talking to the doctor as you may need immediate medical help. Several women’s health medicine is commander viagra browse around for info available into the market. “The main theory is that some genes work well in combination with each-other,” Rushton said.

Rushton goes on to explain how this works and why people may look for good genes rather than love: People may be more interested in finding the survival of the fittest rather than love.

Although these scientists offer strong support in favor of a more biological basis, I feel that love is an emotion that neither scientists nor people can fully explain. Love is an emotion that goes beyond attraction and allows people to see how truly important that person means to them.

Overall, I feel that scientists are not at all trying to beat down the thought of love being a product of fate. People beat down the idea of love by overusing the term and by not understanding what it is supposed to mean. Love isn’t a booty call or some person you dated because you thought he or she was hot. When a person looks past attraction and can see how important another individual is in their life, I feel that they’ve just taken a baby step towards love.
