Q&A: With Track & Field Sprinter Jeremiah Irving

Q: How do you handle school and being on the track and field team?

A: I have to prioritize. I put school first and track second. But being on the track team helps me to maintain my grades and prepares me for life’s struggles.

Q: How do you like the coaching staff?

A: They are all very nice. I knew them in high school, and I consider them as role models. They also help our team in life’s lessons.

Q: How are you preparing for the upcoming season?

A: I am training and working hard. I do double days when I can and it’s necessary, as well as staying focused on being injury free.

Q: Do you plan to run professionally in the future?

A: I ran for two years at Sacramento State and this will be my first and last year at City College. I hope to transfer to either Texas or Florida University to run. After that I really would like to run professionally, maybe in the Olympics
