City College welcomed former EOPS Supervisor Carl Davis to the Cultural Awareness Center Feb. 28 to show his collection of African and slave memorabilia in celebration of Black History Month.
A wide range of items were displayed, including an African Zulu sword and shield, authentic slave chains, freedom medals, and signs from the South showing segregation and advertisements for Amos and Andy, a popular radio program in the 1920s that featured racist portrayals of blacks.
