The event will be held on the quad from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will offer information on transferring to a university, scholarships, internships, financial aid and more.

Representatives from more than 50 institutions, including eight departments of Sacramento State, will be available to meet prospective students.

“Eighty-five percent of our students transfer to Sacramento State or UC Davis,” said City College Transfer Center Director and Counselor Richard Yang.  “For most public institutions, 60 units are required including math, English and major prep.”

Yang went on to add that GPA minimums vary among universities.

As one of the counselors in the Transfer Center inside Rodda North in room 147, Yang advises students to speak with a counselor to get more information and guidance when planning to transfer from City College.
