Transfer Center hosts several fall events

The City College Transfer Center will be holding Mini-Transfer Wednesdays in the Quad this semester, which will consist of visits from five colleges offering transfer information about their programs.

The next Mini-Transfer Wednesday events will be Oct. 17 and Nov. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Quad and will feature the University of San Francisco; University of California, Merced; University of California, Berkeley; and representatives from UC Davis.

The Transfer Center is also conducting scholarship workshops and What Comes Next workshops, which are for students who want to learn about the transfer process and ask any questions they may have.

The scholarship workshop will be held on Oct. 24in Rodda South, Room 273, and Nov. 13 in Rodda North, Room 267. Both workshops will begin at noon.

In addition to the workshops and Mini Transfer Wednesdays, the Transfer Center hosts representatives from other campuses who provide information on transfers and the programs offered at their college.

A representative from UC Santa Cruz will visit Oct. 22 in Rodda North, Room 147, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. UC Davis has a representative visit every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. in the Transfer Center. Sacramento State has a representative every Thursday also in the Transfer Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
