CAC hosts public meeting today 2/18

The Cultural Awareness Center will host a discussion sessions with Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism professors Ericka Blount Danois and Samuel G. Freedman about important issues in the changing world of Journalism today Feb. 18.

The Civil Rights Moment and Popular Culture session is a general public meeting scheduled at 6:30 p.m. in the CAC, during which the professors will discuss their books “Breaking the Line” and “Love, Peace and Soul” respectively, according to the CAC.

Danois is an award-winning author who has worked for several major media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, ESPN: The Magazine, the Washington Post, and Spin magazine. Danois writes covering topics that include pop-culture, music and sports.
