    Second Saturday!

    That’s right, folks. It’s that time again. As the weather is getting warmer (well, at this exact minute), it feels like there are a lot more events going on. So, I’m going to give you a rundown and direct you to a few sites that will have more details for ya. Even if it’s just for one hour, everyone needs to get outside and enjoy our city.

    Sacramento Art Complex will be hosting Human Voice, an exhibit featuring central valley and bay area artists whose works show the human presence in art. While you’re there, check out the Wreckage show with Eric Goodman and the Gorillaknitting Crew at Goodman’s studio.

    10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

    Abstracts at Vox: Group abstract exhibit with Vox artists. Daniel Mendoza will be creating live art during the event.

    4-9 p.m.

    Nicholas Wray Studio Open house and Kickstarter fundraiser: Local photographer Nicholas Wray started a kickstarter fundraiser to expand his studio. The Open House will be at the existing space and people will be able to check out where the new space will be. New contributors to his campaign will get a portrait made of them.

    5 – 11:30 p.m.

    2nd Saturday at the Sacramento Ballet: The ballet is offering a unique experience to check out the rehearsal of Modern Monsters. Stick around for live music and sculptures (yes, live as well) and rock-n-roll style photography and art.

    5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

    2nd Saturday Art Walk at the Artistan: The Artisan will be displaying art that focuses on pin-striping, tattoo art, portraiture, hot-rod art and more.

    Dance Performance by Red Bucket Dance Theatre at Bows and Arrows: The Dance Company will be doing a little number from their upcoming show, All of Summer in a Day.
