The City College Student Senate is encouraging students and Sacramento residents to contribute speeches to an April 22 event named City Talks, a campus event that will be similar to the popular online TED talks.

This event will allow each participant to give a presentation that ties into the theme “The Next 100 Years of Progress.” Presentations can be spoken or performed, as long as they do not exceed eight minutes, according to Student Senate Secretary of Public Relations Melisa Lasell.

“Anyone who has a solid presentation they want to do, there’s going to be room for them,” Lasell said.
